Department of Death

The Department of Death, headed by Death, is one of the core departments in the Dominion of Spheres. While most departments handle specific kinds of Fractures, the Department of Death has its own task. The Department of Death is in charge of auditing the memories of those who have died to check whether they encountered any Fractures in life. The employees of the Department of Death largely consist of clerks and archivists who interview the dead, looking for signs of the unusual or supernatural. These are then passed on to other departments as necessary.

Occasionally, the Department of Death does have to deal with death-related Fractures, and they have a few agents set aside for these cases. However, most such cases actually fall within the jurisdiction of the Department of Life. The Department of Death also works closely with the Department of Information.
